Andrew Cartwright, of Andrew Cartwright Game Angling, is based in Caersws in the upper river Severn Valley and has been fishing for about 30 years. He is a member of the Game Angling Instructors Association (GAIA), a fly casting instructor and guide for the Wye & Usk Foundation and a guide for the Wild Trout Trust. He offers a guiding service on the rivers Severn, Wye and Dee and a variety of still waters, from fishing for rainbow trout on large or small still waters to remote mountain llyns where the wild brown trout will be your quarry. He also runs guided trips for grayling in the winter months. Guiding can take place on a one to one basis or in a group for a full day or half day. Andrew also offers fly casting tuition, based either at Caersws on his casting lawn or, if you prefer, on the River Severn. Tuition is available for all ability levels, from beginners to those looking for more advanced guidance. Andrew is also the resident fly casting instructor at Onny Vale trout Fishery, a Trout Master Water set on the Shropshire/Powys border, and can be booked for corporate days based at the fishery.
